WOW!

 Certainly a large gap between postings!  

During the time I was away got covid a second time- had it almost long covid (short by 3 days), had a heart attack and am slowly coming right, although I may never be right ( was I ever right in the first place? lol), had to leave my job and retire early due to cognitive damage from the surgery)

So where are we up to.  Well have a group who have been supporting all my spare time with various games of the superhero nature. At present we are enjoying The Mighty Protectors and are running two games - a Pulp 30's game and a WW II game.  For the initial play I had 3 players and just today that number is now at 5.  will talk more about it later.  I have also bought Fantasy Grounds and am slowly coming to grips with it but am enjoying a lot of the automation you find therein.

So the Group are as follows;

Archie is playing Madame Nocturne in the pulp game and Captain Patriot ( with sidekick Savant) in the war game.

Ron is playing Gravestone in the Pulp and Feyhart in the war game.

Josh is playing Titan Heart in the pulp and Avenging Star in the war game.

Recent add Chef has Comrade Steel in the war game and yet to build his pulp character.

Today Dark Maiden rejoined the group and has yet to create either character.

The game is a little more slow paced due to my cognitive decline but is still enjoyable by all in attendance. Here's to more gaming. Game on and Cheers

Hi one and all.  Yes just as we get started I get Covid.. so how's that stop an internet game you may ask?  Because it turns out the post covid complication that has stayed with me for the last 2+ months is that my brain was mush.  Now I think I am on the mend and we'll start up again and get some games notes or video for you to watch.  So we come back to the campaign which is going to be using the 2.1 version of Villains and Vigilantes.

Game will be set in 2024 in a home brew campaign, featuring a past hero's legacy and a few other ideas...until then...GAME ON!

More gaps

 So hello again. Time indeed has past since my last entry. In that time the group has completed the Batch-22 story , had several on again, off again games and started a new game under the One Dice System. Its a deceptively simple system that looks like you could create a multitude of unique settings and power levels for a Supers game. The group have enjoyed the system so far. I do have recordings but have yet to haul arse and edit them into something I can upload etc. Any how , once the group have put down the current menace I will be asking if they would like to return to the Villains and Vigilantes system or stay with the 1D system. I hope to be able to post the recordings soon before we decide which way to go in the next big game. That's about it for now, take care and hope you are doing well in everything life is throwing at us right now. Game on!

WOW!

Wow! Almost a year, life sure has a way of complicating things.  So earlier this year we started playing a Mutants and Masterminds game, once a month , and had 2 or 3 games before my working commitments changed.  I will endeavour to get them ready to be on here as we are looking to pick up in the second week of August. Fingers crossed. Game on

 Well life and all of the wonderful things that complicate it are at it again. So with a heavy heart I need to stop for the foreseeable future any games in the superhero genre.  But like some of the comics of old - we'll be back! Cheers all and GAME ON!

Okay, its been a while...

So we tried out  the new system, we have yet to get into a fray bt it seems good in a 4 colour super sense.  Anyway  here is the first session ( its short as the first half was spent completing characters), enjoy...

Well the first try appears to show merit so the group decided they would be happy to build some characters and try a mini series story arc to try out the system Sentinels of Echo City.. see you with some gaming action in a fortnight - game on!

Hello all

         Hi one and all. It's been another space of time between entries. During the Covid 19 lock down we , here in New Zealand, and two old time players from America tried out a system called Survive This - Vigilante City. Unfortunately it didn't appeal as much as the art work.  So we are considering trying another system based in part on Marvels FASERIP , B/X D&D and a few things the author came up with himself - Sentinels of Echo City. I hope to report back on the experience in two weeks when we run a session to see if its something we would like to continue with. If not we will probably return to the old favorite Villains and Vigilantes Ed 2.1.

Finally got the core three players together so they could discover more abut the shadow who is providing young kids these super powers...

Now we are off for a month so we can prepare for our next supers game - Vigilante City!

Almost the end of the year and here is the last sess for the super group, unfortunately Jack couldn't be with us so Graviton missed out on some of the action... we'll finish the story in 2020. Til then true believers, as the man once said, have a Merry, Happy, Safe time!
